Colleges in Aurora

The great thing about Aurora is that it is neither too big, nor too small. Large enough to offer plenty of facilities, but without the disadvantages usually associated with large metropolises. Chicago city is only 40 miles away if you crave the big city lights or a special trip. The climate here can get quite cold in winter with associated snow and ice. Summers are cool and might reach low seventies, although you might get to enjoy an occasional sunny day in the eighties. ( More )

Aurora caters for virtually every sport you can think of. There are athletics tracks, cycle ways, go-carting, volleyball courts, squash, golf, and swimming pools. There are a few leisure pools too, if you prefer waterslides to plowing lengths. If you enjoy spectator sports, you have a choice of several teams participating in hockey, basketball, and baseball.

For something less energetic you could check out Philips Park Winterfest. This festival celebrates winter and you could enjoy dog-sledding, ice-carving, skating or snowshoeing. You could even get in touch with your inner child and participate in the snowman building contest! For shopping enthusiasts, there are several malls offering a range of outlets including discounted outlets and department stores. There are many restaurants boasting cuisine from the four corners of the world.
